Release date and Early Access status
The Steam release date is 15 October 2026. The game is in Early Access, not behind a countdown. The store FAQ’s full-release target is roughly two months after launch, described as mid-December 2026, and the same text says that target can change.
What I checked
I read release_date.date as “Oct 15, 2026” and coming_soon as false. The launch news post that day thanks players for 600,000 wishlists and says the game is out. Wishlist posts from 10 September (10,000) and 23 September (100,000) are earlier milestones, not the ship date. I am not running a countdown widget, because the thing people were counting down to has already happened.
Dates you can cite
19 September 2026 is the date on the separate playtest app. 15 October 2026 is Early Access for the paid game, plus three hotfix posts that same week. 17 October is update 0.1.73. 19 October is 0.1.82. 21 October is 0.1.83, the achievements and cloud-save update. Those are news timestamps, not a promised 1.0 calendar.
- Out now: yes, on Windows via Steam.
- 1.0 date: not announced as a fixed day.
- Xbox date of 7 October 2026 belongs to Hidden Floor Games’ different title.
What Early Access means here
The store page is explicit that the game is Early Access. Patches in the first week already changed speech recognition, lobby size, and sign-in fallbacks. Buying it is buying the current build plus whatever the team ships before 1.0, not a finished campaign with a locked feature list.
