How to get Scam With Your Friends
You can play the Windows game now. Steam has sold Early Access since 15 October 2026. There is no official browser port, no Mac or Linux build, and no standalone installer outside Steam.
What I checked
I compared three doors on 22 October 2026. The Steam appdetails call showed a paid Windows package. The playtest app 5216930 had no price and no purchase button. The Roblox games API showed a free experience owned by the Jatater Worldwide group. I am keeping those three doors on separate pages so a free Roblox visit is not described as the Steam purchase.
The only install path for the Steam game
Install the Steam client on Windows 10 or 11, open AppID 4954910, and buy the game. The US price I recorded was $8.99 during the launch discount, down from $9.99. Regional prices differ. I do not have a verified price history from SteamDB because that site returned a Cloudflare block during research, so this page does not invent a low or a historical low.
Steam’s refund rule is still the public one: request within 14 days of purchase and under two hours of playtime. That clock matters on a comedy game people bounce off after one bad shift.
What is not a way to get this build
Cracked archives, Steamrip-style repacks, and “online fix” folders are not listed here and are not linked. The publisher has not posted an offline installer. A file that claims to be the full game outside Steam is not the build this guide checked.
- Download page: store link, widget, and the risk note.
- Price page: list price, the 29 October 2026 discount end, and key shops.
- Playtest page: the separate app, and why a private DM with a key is not the normal path.
- Release-date page: Early Access is already live. The 1.0 date is a target, not a fact.
FAQ
Is the game out?
Yes. Steam Early Access started on 15 October 2026. A full 1.0 date is only a mid-December 2026 target in the store FAQ.
Is there a free official version?
The Roblox experience from the Jatater Worldwide group is free. The Steam game is paid. They are related products, not the same install.
Can I gift it?
Steam’s normal gift flow applies if the store still allows gifting for this package. Buy the gift from the Steam page, not from a chat message.
